Alain Savard, President and CEO
Alain started his career with the accounting firm Touche Ross and then later joined Ernst & Young in 1986 as a senior auditor for medium and large-scale companies. In 1988, Alan began working as a Comptroller for Bombardier Capital Group (BCG), in a division specializing in inventory financing. As part of BCG’s senior management team, he headed a group that became an important profit center and a well-known player in financing and leasing throughout North America. In 1998, Alain left Bombardier to set up Alter Moneta. Since then, he has served as Alter Moneta’s Chief Executive Officer. Alain is a Chartered Accountant with a Master of Business Administration degree from Sherbrooke University, Province of Québec.
Réal Leclair, Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Réal began his career with KPMG-Peat Marwick, where he worked in the Audit department and the Management Information Systems Consulting department. In 1991, he joined Bombardier Inc. as an internal auditor and transferred in 1994 to Canadair’s Finance department. In 1995, he transferred to a U.S. subsidiary of Bombardier, Bombardier Capital Inc., as Manager, Accounting and Leasing, and was rapidly promoted to Director, Accounting Project, and in 1997, to Director-Operations. In August 1998, he joined Alter Moneta as Vice President, Operations, in charge of finance and treasury. He also served as Chief Financial Officer until 2003, when he was promoted to Chief Credit Officer. Réal is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Mark Lempko, General Manager, U.S. and Ontario
Mark has over 18 years of experience in equipment finance. He worked for seven years with the Equipment Finance Division of HSBC Business Credit (U.S.) Inc., first in direct sales and then as National Sales Manager since 1999. Before HSBC, he worked for Fleet Credit Corp. At Alter Moneta, Mark is the General Manager for the U.S. Operations, with three regional sales Vice Presidents reporting to him, the Capital Markets Group and the operations staff for the U.S. and Ontario-based businesses. He is headquartered at Alter Moneta’s U.S. branch office in Buffalo, NY. Mark’s responsibilities include managing Alter Moneta’s North American sales force, developing and implementing the Group’s sales goals and objectives, and guiding the support staff in the U.S. operations center. He is also responsible for developing and recommending marketing initiatives undertaken by Alter Moneta as well as expansion into new markets and territories. Mark graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
Stephen Petit, Chief Financial Officer
Stephen began his career with Ernst & Young, where he worked as external auditor. In 1987, he joined Bombardier Inc. as Manager, Cost Accounting, and was promoted in 1993 to Director of Finance for Bombardier’s Industrial Division. In 1997, he was transferred to Bombardier’s Services Group and led the financial business plan for the newly created division in Chicago. From 1998 to 2003, Stephen participated in many special projects, including SAP implementation for Bombardier Inc.’s two largest divisions: Transportation and Aerospace. He also participated in the due diligence process for a major acquisition in Germany. In 2003 and 2004, Stephen served as Director of the “Shared Services” Finance department, which has responsibility for all the accounting for the Transportation Group in North America. He joined Alter Moneta as Chief Financial Officer in November 2004. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the École des Hautes Études Commerciales.
Benoit Boutet, Vice President Risk Management
Benoit began his career with Ernst & Young, where he served as external auditor and manager in financial consulting. He then worked in the food industry, first with Vachon, a division of Culinar, from 1991 to 1996, where he acted as Controller and CFO, and then with Le Groupe Brochu Lafleur from 1997 to 2000, where he served as Director of Finance. Benoit joined Maax Inc, the Canadian leader in the bathtub industry, in 2000 as Director of Finance and was promoted in 2003 to Vice President of Finance. He joined Alter Moneta in November 2006. Benoit is a chartered accountant and a graduate of Laval University.
Normand Séguin, Vice President Business Integration and CIO
Normand joined Alter Moneta in September 2007 as VP Business Integration and CIO. Prior to this, he was Co President of Transaction Dynamics Canada, a consulting firm specialized in large scale shared services and compliance management. From 2003 to 2005, Normand was VP Financial Processes and Systems with Bombardier Inc., a global leader of aircraft and rail equipment manufacturing. From 1994 to 2003, he held various project leadership positions with Cap Gemini, a global leader of technology, business process outsourcing and consulting services. From 1989 to 1994, Normand worked at Ernst & Young in the information systems auditing and management consulting services. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from l’École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) and is a Chartered Accountant (CA). Normand’s professional achievements include leading and realizing an impressive list of successful and complex value-added business transformation initiatives, geared towards improving productivity and profitability.
Jacques Beauchamp, Vice-President Quebec Direct Sales
Jacques started his career in 1979 with the National Bank of Canada, where he was involved in consumer loans, private-label financing, and leasing with National Bank Leasing, a Bank subsidiary. From 1989 to 1992, he served as Regional Manager Québec for CIBC Leasing in Montréal. From there, he was President of Location Transbec, a transportation equipment leasing company he cofounded in 1992. Jacques joined Alter Moneta in 2001 as Business Development Manager. In 2004, he was promoted to Vice-President Business Development for Québec. He manages a team of six business development managers in direct sales as well as the development of the Vendor Finance Group in the Province of Quebec. Jacques earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Université du Québec in Montréal (UQAM) in 1998 and has obtained certification from the Canadian Securities Institute and the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
Christopher Evered, Vice President-Direct Sales, Central & Western Canada
Christopher began his career with GE Capital Canada-Commercial Equipment Finance, where his most recent position was Vice President–Ontario, responsible for sales and operations. He then served as Vice President–Canada Siemens Financial Services with Siemens Canada Limited, where he was responsible for managing the lease/loan portfolio for Siemens Canada’s strategic customers, creating financial solutions to enhance product sales. Before joining Alter Moneta, Christopher managed the Technology Finance group for CIT Specialty Finance. Christopher’s current responsibilities include managing Alter Moneta’s direct sales force for both the direct and vendor markets. He is responsible for developing, implementing and improving the company’s go-to-market strategy for growth in his region. Christopher received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
